Sales Management:
- Gather the needed data, such as previous forecasts, sales figures, stock levels, etc., to meet with the supplier concerned, generate the new forecast, and share it with the sales team.
- Set the monthly sales targets for the sales team based on the agreed forecast with the supplier to be shared with the concerned manager for input and dispatched to each member of the sales team.
- Follow up with concerned parties on the team's daily targets and review the target status with the sales team every quarter.
- Manage and control the returns from the market related to near-expiry items within the set and agreed-on procedures to minimize their effect on the Profit and losses statement.
- Set a yearly action plan regarding the activities (conferences, congresses, events) with key customers based on each territory and share the budget with the supplier for approval.
- Implement the set and agreed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the sales team and provide needed input and training when needed to ensure compliance.
- Set the strategy for the sampling (FOCs) procedure in terms of quantities that need to be distributed to clients, share it with the sales team for implementation, and monitor its distribution to ensure accurate reconciliation with supplier records.
- Review frequently the sales priorities, planning, and presentation of the sales force ensuring that they are continuously aware of all stock, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Monitor continuously the stock levels based on the reports received from the admin team to be able to propose needed action plans regarding near to expiry and expired items in coordination with Senior Management and the supplier.
- Interfere when
needed on quality assurance issues that have a direct impact on the business in
close coordination with the Quality Assurance & Compliance Department.
Team Management
- Perform various responsibilities related to team management including hiring, setting objectives, reviewing performance, coaching, taking disciplinary actions, resolving grievances and conflicts, etc.
- Perform random checks on the universe and routing plan of the sales team and ensure that it falls within the set and agreed sales plan.
- Ensure that the sales team is properly trained on product knowledge and the technical requirements needed to perform their jobs efficiently.
- Perform regular double market visits with the sales team to assess the sales team, monitor their selling skills as well, and provide guidance and coaching continuously.
- Meet every month with the sales team to inform them of their target achievement, consolidate findings and feedback received from the market, share new price lists, and adjust accordingly the business plan if needed.
Business Development
- Seek regularly new customers within the assigned areas and propose action plans to optimize the customer base, increase market share, and boost sales results in coordination with Senior Management and suppliers.
- Gather information to be presented to new suppliers concerning potential acquisitions and handle communication with the potential supplier in close coordination with senior management.
Market Intelligence
- Identify key competitive activity within the territory by gathering clients’ feedback, monitoring competition activations, etc. to develop necessary business and tactical plans in coordination with Senior Management.
- Maintain current and accurate knowledge of competitor products, be able to highlight their disadvantages, and promote relevant benefits.
Relationship Management
- Maintain regular contact with Key Clients to deliver superior customer service and satisfaction to gain their loyalty and sustain long-term business cooperation through regular market visits.
- Meet regularly with suppliers to review business plans, review pending orders, discuss potential opportunities, challenges faced, and competitive activities, and adjust if needed.
- Meet with suppliers to set and negotiate replenishment orders every month based on sales analysis to maintain healthy stock levels and avoid stock shortage or surplus.
- Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, by providing them with regular and direct feedback on business results, market trends, competitive actions, and other required information.
Finance and Administration
- Control and review the unit budget every month with Senior Management to monitor expenses, OPEX, cashflow levels, P&L statement, working capital, and other financial data to ensure alignment with supplier guidelines and that expenditures do not exceed agreed budgets.
- Submit yearly budgets to the Holding and HR department for approval related to unit expenses, payroll expenses, training, and development, OPEX, etc.
- Ensure that all receivables and collections are within the agreed payment/credit terms to sustain the company cash flow levels and follow up with the sales team on aging and past dues.
- Agree on payment terms with suppliers regarding invoices, approve debit notes sent to suppliers related to marketing expenses, and ensure that the payment terms fall within the group policies and procedures.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the retail industry
- Good command of English and Arabic
- Good computer skills
